Joe Hargrove is a Principal in KPMG’s Tax Practice. Joe is the National Financial Services Industry Tax Leader and Business Unit Partner in Charge of the NY Metro Financial Services Tax Practice of KPMG. Joe has 30 years of experience focusing on the taxation of financial institutions generally and on international tax issues. Prior to rejoining KPMG, Joe was Managing Director, Deputy Chief Tax Officer and Director of Tax Planning at Citigroup. Joe has experience with a wide range of tax issues, including:

U.S. and International Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures Restructuring domestic and international businesses Analyzing income, withholding and indirect tax implications of cross border business transactions Foreign tax credit planning U.S., state and local, and foreign tax audits Tax accounting for publicly issued financial statements, including transactional analysis and tax accounting processes. Transfer pricing issues in the U.S. and outside the U.S.
