Biography

Jim is a senior manager in KPMG’s Mergers & Acquisitions Tax practice. Jim joined KPMG in 2014 and is based in KPMG’s Tysons Corner, VA office.

Jim has over 20 years of experience representing private and publicly-owned companies in many areas of federal taxation relating to their business transactions and ongoing operations. He has particular expertise in structuring and advising clients on a wide variety of corporate restructuring transactions, such as tax-free mergers and reorganizations, spin-offs, taxable stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions, like-kind exchanges, joint ventures and intercompany restructuring transactions.

Prior to joining KPMG, Jim was a tax associate at Jones Day, and was a tax partner at Dow Lohnes PLLC.
