Christopher Metzger is a Manager in KPMG’s Tyson’s Corner Mergers & Acquisitions practice. He has worked with a broad range of U.S. domestic, multi-national, and foreign-owned clients. His current and past clients operate in the manufacturing, telecommunications, software, information services, defense and private equity industries.

As a member of the M&A practice, Christopher consults on tax issues pertaining to mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, bankruptcies, tax-free reorganizations, divestitures, corporate formations, and distributions. Christopher has experience in drafting opinions, IRS ruling requests, and memoranda on federal income tax issues, and conducting tax due diligence on target entities. He has also advised numerous clients on planning for net operating loss utilization and addressing other tax issues in connection with troubled businesses.
